Farmers in various regions seize the opportunity to use smart agricultural machinery and equipment to intensify spring management and irrigation.

Water saving sprinkler systems make field management more efficient

In this high standard farmland in Qingyun County, Dezhou, Shandong, farmer Yin Diandong is using a pointer sprinkler to irrigate over 2200 acres of wheat for spring. Compared to traditional flood irrigation, the new sprinkler irrigation method can save an average of 50% water and about 20 kilograms of fertilizer per acre of wheat.

In recent years, a total of 107000 acres of high standard farmland have been built in Qingyun County. Comprehensive management of water, fields, forests, roads, bridges, canals, wells, and other areas has been carried out according to local conditions. More than 200 sets of irrigation facilities have been constructed, and field management has become increasingly efficient.

At the time of spring irrigation, in this wheat field in Waliyang Village, Dongguang County, Cangzhou, Hebei Province, farmers were using shallow buried drip irrigation technology to water and fertilize wheat, achieving a transition from flood irrigation to precision drip irrigation, with an average cost saving and efficiency increase of 270 yuan per mu. Farmland management is becoming increasingly intelligent, and on this digital management platform, the soil data of 20000 acres of farmland is clear at a glance.
