CCTV News: Currently, Henan winter wheat is gradually entering the jointing period from south to north. Hebi City is located in the northern part of Henan Province, with 1.34 million mu of wheat planted. During the critical period of field management, the local government is strengthening irrigation to increase soil moisture and supplement it.

In the high standard farmland of Jun County, Hebi City, self-propelled sprinklers are watering over 900 acres of wheat fields. Due to the late sowing of some wheat, the wheat in the field appears slightly weak with small seedlings. In order to achieve a high harvest and yield, this is the second spring irrigation carried out by farmers.

Last winter and this spring, the precipitation in Hebi City decreased by 30% to 50% compared to the same period in previous years, and the soil lost moisture quickly. At present, it is a critical period for spring wheat field management. The local agricultural technology department guides farmers to strengthen scientific fertilizer and water management during the wheat jointing period, cultivate strong stems and large ears of wheat, and lay a solid foundation for a bumper summer harvest. At present, 820000 acres of wheat in Hebi city have been irrigated with "returning green water". The wheat fields that have experienced drought have basically been irrigated, and the wheat fields that have been irrigated in time for winter and have not experienced drought will be postponed to early April for irrigation. The seedlings in the city are in good condition.
